Danny Huffman
President
Mr. Huffman founded ONUG Communications in August of 1999. Prior to that he served as Director of Professional Services for a large southeastern Engineer, Furnish and Install company which was purchased by Alcoa-Fujikura, Ltd. As founder of the Professional Service Division, Mr. Huffman was responsible for the development of the concept and business plan. The implemented business plan was a successful division start-up showing profit within two years. His 18 years of experience in the telecommunications and utility industry has enabled him to provide many customers with varying assessments of industry trends including: “last mile” networks, data, CATV, and broadband technologies. Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Prior to his position of Director of Professional Services, he held various management and technical positions with BellSouth Telecommunications.
Mr. Pickett has over 20 years of field management experience and is highly skilled in telecommunications and computer network operations. After several years of management experience with Sprint Nextel and Ericsson, Pickett joined the ONUG team as Director of Operations in 2021. He leads the design and construction of telecom projects and services while managing the GIS, engineering, field services, and project leader team members. He is also responsible for overseeing project budgets, timing, and helping generate profitable revenue streams. Mr. Pickett was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and received his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University.

John Bartuska
Director, Human Resources
Mr. Bartuska joined ONUG in October of 2013 with responsibility for all human resources matters, as well as finding new, great talent. Those responsibilities continue today, and he has been on the front lines helping to fill each important ONUG seat. With senior level HR certifications including SPHR & SHRM-SCP, John is also trained & certified in Six Sigma process improvement methods, behavioral testing and interviewing, management / leadership development & recruiting. He has personally managed and led teams from 5 to 200 and been involved in interviewing & hiring more than a thousand recruits. Prior to joining ONUG, Mr. Bartuska held operational and HR leader roles in midsized to large, global companies. His varied industry experience includes telecommunications, insurance, healthcare, electronics, and office solutions. John also started and ran his own smaller businesses delivering recruiting, consulting & hospitality services.
Mr. Sposito has over 38 years in the telecommunications industry, holding positions in product engineering, engineering management, marketing, product management, business development, sales, and project management. He has worked on Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) products and deployments for over 21 years. Mr. Sposito holds patents in data switching and optical network units. He is a US Air Force veteran and has an Electronic Engineering degree from North Central State College, Mansfield Ohio. Dick has been involved in many first applications: fiber to the home with switched analog video 1988, SONET based fiber to the curb with analog video overlay 1992, fiber to the home using CWDM technology to provide voice, data and video both analog and digital (1000 home sub-division) 2000, the first total municipality overbuild with fiber to the home (Falls Church Virginia; 28,000 homes) 2005 and the first service deployment of IPTV (Atlanta Georgia) 2007. He has experience in leading successful projects.
